You walk along a muddy woods path.
The path through the woods stretches on towards the southeast, the sound of rushing water increases from that direction while the path to the northwest stretches deeper into the woods. The sun shines through the trees from high above and the foilage and brambles are thick enough either side of this long path that you decide to stay on it. The wind whistles faintly in the air and you hear your own footprints as you make your steady way along.
Birds tweet above you and flitter from tree to tree, as you walk along you notice some of the foilage to the side of the path looks disturbed.
You can head northwest, southeast, or you can search the area.
